Training for fast 3D modeling with CAD (Computer Aided Design) software Sketchup will take place in RogLab. First level training will be held on Thursday, June 19, from 4pm to 8pm. You are cordially invited to apply!

Sketchup is a 3D modeling software ideal for introducing digital design because of its intuitive building and transformation tools and its user-friendly environment. Experienced CAD users will discover a powerful tool for extremely rapid 3D visualization and modeling. The Sketchup platform is the most widespread 3D modeling package currently available and has a huge community of users sharing their models and designs, as well as their technical support, through the Sketchup 3D warehouse.

General Information:

Objective: To discover and master the most important tools that the Sketchup platform has to offer to do 3D digital modeling.
Prior knowledge and experience needed: None
Target audience: Architects, designers (particularly interior and product designers), game developers, industrial engineers, craftsmen, makers and anyone with a creative mind who wants to develop their own designs in a digital form and is a newcomer in the world of CAD software.
Working language: English with a Slovene speaking assistant.
Workshop material: Participants must bring their own personal laptop with the latest version of Sketchup installed and wheel mouse (recommended).
Number of participants: 6 to 7 people

Level 1: Basic 3D Digital Modeling with Sketchup

Objective: To learn the basic tools of 3D modeling in Sketchup, get familiarized with the interface and navigation window and learn how to export files for 3D printing. At the end of the course, participants will be able to shape and build their own visions and projects. Very useful for later use of RogLab equipment.
