RogLaB at Mini Maker Faire In Trieste


On Saturday, May 17, the first Trieste Mini Maker Faire will be held in Miramare, Trieste. The event, organized by International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) in collaboration with Maker Media Inc. and Immaginario Scientifico Science Centre, will host several makers and institution - RogLab will also be present at the event. Join us!

Maker Faire is is a global movement aiming to inspire, educate and entertain curious and creative minds of all ages.

Trieste Mini Maker Faire will bring together makers, inventors, scientists, crafters, artists and all other passionate creative enthusiasts from diferent countries, Slovenia, Croatia, Italy and beyond. Special attention will be given to ideas and projects of educational interest and aimed at developing countries.

The original Maker Faire event was held in San Mateo, CA and is in collaboration with movement of makers the Greatest Show in field of  creative culture. In year 2013 was its eighth annual show with some 900 makers and 120,000 people in attendance. Maker Faire is a place where people show what they are making, and share what they are learning. Makers range from tech enthusiasts to crafters to homesteaders to scientists to garage tinkerers. They are of all ages and backgrounds. The aim of Maker Faire is to entertain, inform, connect and grow this community.

Detroit, Kansas City, Rome, Oslo, Tokyo, Newcastle (UK), and Shenzhen are the home of “featured” 2014 Maker Faires and almost 100 community-driven, independently organized Mini Maker Faires are now being produced around the United States and the world — including in Trieste.
