All places at the children's workshop are already taken.

We kindly invite you for a creative workshop on Saturday, June 21, between 10 am and 1 pm. The workshop is aimed at children ages 6 to 12. Children will be introduced to the basics of electronics and electricity, playing with conductive plasticine and basic electronic components. Besides learning some electronics, the workshop seeks to encourage experimentation, teamwork and creativity. The workshop is performed by

The objective of this workshop is to design an integrated circuit with plasticine. Activities include a basic explanation of electricity, energy and power concepts, to be followed by basic games to understand how a signal travels. The workshop will thus be about playing with LEDs, resistors and batteries, conductive plasticine modelling and experimenting. Children will model their characters (a car, a bear, a flower...), so that at the end we have a number of characters and objects to make a story with. These characters will then light up when two objects touch.

After the workshop, children will take home about 100gr of conductive and 100gr of non-conductive plasticine of different colours, a 9V battery and 3 LEDS also of different colours. The good thing about plasticine is that children can do whatever they feel like with it!
