Drone Recorded Video and Photography

by The Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering, University of Ljubljana

RogLab will host a lecture on aerial video and photo shooting with drones, or unmanned aircrafts, on May 21st at 6 pm. Under the mentorship of Andrej Učakar, an expert in the field of digital video and multicopters, you will learn about, as well as experience, the usefulness of drones in video and photo production.

Aerial photos and videos can be recorded using classical and traditional methods, such as planes, helicopters, hot -air balloons, kites and parachutes. In the lastrecent years, however, “˝multirotors”˝, or , “˝copters”˝ or or “˝drones”,˝ have been gaining ground in aerial video and photo shooting. They are used in various fields, such as in such as the military, in energy, agriculture, communication and, media and even humanitarian actions. Because of the rapid technological developments, multirotors have become a must in any set of major video production equipment.

At the lecture, participants will learn about the materials multirotors are made from, how they work, what know-how and equipment is needed for their safe use and about the different techniques and possibilities of image capturing. At the end of the lecture, there will be a demo flight.
