We’re collecting old textiles and tailoring a new future!

Join the recycling project

Do you have a pile of old cotton or linen sheets, table cloths, handkerchiefs, shirts, skirts and the like, with or without lace or embroidery, lying at the bottom of your wardrobe? The kind you can’t bring yourself to throw away, but don’t want to keep either? If so, you’ll be more than interested to take part in our project!

We’re collecting old textiles in light colours that we want to remake into a new, one-of-a-kind collection of clothes and accessories for women and men. We’ll recycle your fabrics, refashion and decorate them with natural prints and bring our common recent history back into circulation. The project, conceived by designer Maja Modrijan from Destilator club, was selected for development in the framework of RogLab’s City For Everyone! competition that was launched as part of the European FabLabNet project. In the course of three months it will be supported by mentors from RogLab and the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering of the University of Ljubljana.

Contribute your own piece of the past and see it tailor the new future!

We are stocking up till the end of November at the following collection points:
Ljubljana: RogLab (Petkovškovo nabrežje 67) Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri: 12:00 – 20:00
TIC / Lokalc (Trg padlih borcev 5) Mon–Fri : 9:00–17:00, Sat 10:00–16:00, Sun 10:00–15:00

An event presenting the results of our joint collaboration and development will take place in January 2018. Until then, you can catch glimpses of the work in progress at Destilator.
