roglab's Partners

The programme of RogLab – the pilot project for the future Rog Centre – is based on collaboration with NGOs, cultural, research and educational institutions as well as individual companies. The initial collaborators were chosen on the basis of a public call addressed to potential programme partners.

A small company, Aereform is primarily engaged in the field of research and development. The three main activities of the company are providing expert services in the field of light aviation, aviation production focusing on high-tech composite materials (carbon and kevlar), and the development of online training systems for renowned brands, including Pipistrel and Dewesoft. The vision of the company is to become the partner of choice in development and prototyping or small series production.

Centre for Spatial Sociology, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana

This centre was established in 1969 as the first national institution for studying and lecturing on spatial sociology. Its activities are based on connecting interdisciplinary knowledge in the field of social activities in the environment. Its research activities focus on spatial development on all levels – global, regional, municipal, local and immediate surroundings.

Culturemaker Institute
Culturemaker Institute focuses on cultural development and project management on the interface of culture, creativity  and  urban  development. It is collaborating with diverse organizations ranging from non governmental to governmental sectors, intergovernmental institutions, networks and private companies in Slovenia and abroad. Its references include the fields of design, popular music, fine arts, comics, and performing arts.

Department of Textiles, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering, University of Ljubljana

This department pays special attention to the organisation of practical thematic workshops and cooperation with external mentors, organisations and institutions. It equips its students with a variety of tools and prepares them for their entry into the complex and increasingly demanding textile industry market.



A private company specialized in solutions for the graphic engineering area (3D and 2D CAD/CAM/PDM) as well as complex interdisciplinary solutions for the CAD (computer-aided design) programming tools segment in electronics and industrial engineering. IB-CADDY also develops comprehensive programming solutions for business, educational and technical software (in .Net, C/C++, Delphi, VB, Java, OpenGL, JavaScript environments, and general purpose programming languages). It also offers training and consulting.

International Centre of Graphic Arts (MGLC)
The International Centre of Graphic Arts is a specialized museum and producer of printed and contemporary art, based on the heritage of the Biennial of Graphic Arts and 20th century art of printing. It has been the job of MGLC from the outset to perform a number of activities that are interrelated and complementary in their nature. It takes care of the extensive collection of prints and artists’ books produced after the Second World War. The institution’s most recognizable activity is the Biennial of Graphic Arts, which is known as the world’s oldest graphic arts event.

INTRI d.o.o.
The company offers advanced technologies and innovative solutions that enhance competitiveness and reduce the time of new products development. They strive for development of services that enable tangible improvements in the field of new products development, presentation techniques, producing 2D and 3D documentation, and professional prototypes, models and post processes. With 3D digitization and repeatability of R&D (research and development) processes they increase products quality and enable error detection already in the early stages of development.

Ljubljana Cycling Network (LCN) at the Slovene Cycling Network
Over the past ten years, the network has organised numerous debates on the theme of urban cycling, as well as the cycling parade and other cycling promotions. Through its endeavours to establish equality in transport, it is an important contributor to transportation improvements in Ljubljana, which is becoming an increasingly cycling-friendly town. At the same time, the community surrounding LCN is developing a true cycling culture – from the production of self-made bikes to the development of accessories.

Museum of Architecture and Design (MAO)
This is the main Slovenian museum covering the field of architecture, urbanism, industrial and graphic design and photography. It collects and keeps materials from the aforementioned fields, enables their study and presents them to the general public. It functions as a museum and as an architecture and design centre, the task of which is to enable the exchange of ideas and knowledge and establish an urbanism, architecture and design dialogue.

RAMPA – creative lab for hacking science, art and society at the Institute Kersnikova
Rampa stands for advanced experimental and research environment with basic technical infrastructure and support from inspirational mentors. Rampa wellcomes young people, artists and researchers for their first or professional steps in independent research and creative work. Rampa produces new media art projects, supports inciatives for women in scientific professions and the media arts – ČIPke and CodeCatz, creative workshops for children 5HEK, 3D modeling workshops Crafty Builders and others.

Regional Centre for Creative Economy (RCKE)
RCKE was founded in the frame of the European project Creative Cities. As of spring 2012, it operates under the auspices of the Regional Development Agency of the Ljubljana Urban Region (RRA LUR). Its aim is to connect creative people in creative industries with business companies, thus creating conditions to attain business success based on interdisciplinary development processes. 

This is a company specialising in 3D modelling, scanning, printing, quick prototyping and consultancy in the field of new technologies. Its clients are predominantly architects and designers. As it is rightfully known for finding solutions to every problem, it has become known under the pet name Workshop Impossible. It is especially good at passing on obtained experience and knowledge and sensibilising young creators and new technologies technologists.

Socialdress, Trivia Art Association
So-called social dresses cannot be purchased in a shop; however, they can be made. Communication is an important part of the project – it is important to exchange stories and experiences that end up in the web archive or as a graphic motif on Socialdress products (fabric, bags, etc) and artworks. Socialdress establishes connections between creative activities and entrepreneurship, with an emphasis on social entrepreneurship.

Stripburger/Forum Ljubljana
Way back in 1992, the first – now already legendary – issue of this magazine was published. At first, it wanted to merge comics, photography, graphics, film and music. However, over the next few issues, Stripburger turned into a true comic magazine. From its very beginnings, it combined Slovenian authors with newly emerging international authors. Apart from publishing, Stripburger is also known for organising workshops, exhibitions, lectures and similar projects.

School of Arts, University of Nova Gorica
This new and dynamic school supports student development, offers an up-to-date programme using contemporary methods and teaching tools as well as takes great care in the selection of contents and tutors. It swears by the personal approach, supports e-learning, is oriented towards intermedia and engages interdisciplinary cooperation. It also emphasises international cooperation with similar institutions.

Trajekt - Institute for Spatial Culture
Ever since its establishment in 2003, its purpose has been to change and accelerate the development of spatial culture in Slovenia (covering architecture, urban planning, landscape architecture and design and professions linked to this). With this in mind, they created a web portal with current news and Internet databases (e.g. www.arhitekturni‐ and, organise exhibitions, accelerate education and publish publications in the field of spatial studies.


The Elephant – Association for film education

The Elephant – Association For Film Education implements various activities in the field of animated film, with emphasis on education for children, their parents and teachers. Our experienced mentors and lecturers are introducing the techniques and processes of making an animated film to all interested audiences through optical toys workshops, animated film workshops, screenings of animated films with pedagogically guided discussions, ehibitions, publications and pedagogical materials on animated films.
